Adobe Acrobat Pro DC keeps changing the tool I'm using.

Example: Say I'm working with the Prepare Form tool, and I have several form fields selected - maybe I'm aligning them, setting the sizes or fonts, whatever.  Now I'm done and I want to deselect the group of fields; always before, I simply clicked anywhere on the page, the fields deselected, but the Prepare Form tool remained active.  Recently, we upgraded my machine to Windows 10, and brought Adobe Acrobat up to version 2019.021.20061.  Ever since then, whenever I click on the document page to deselect the group of fields, the tool seems to switch to Edit PDF mode (even though it still SAYS the Form tool is active), and it selects whatever document text blocks were at the point I clicked.  Which would be fine if I only need to select individual fields after that, because I can click on a single form field and select it, but sometimes I need to lasso and select another group of fields, and the only way I can do that is either "Close" the Prepare Form tool and then re-open it or select the group of fields by holding down Shift or Ctrl and selecting them one at a time.  Is there a way to turn off this behavior?  I'd like the tool I've picked to stay active until *I* decide to change it...

I posted the suggestion there, but for some reason this page does not allow me to either paste the URL or insert a link.  I typed this in, but looks like it works okay:

Wish developers would learn to give these new features an off button...
