Adobe acrobat pro not saving (109 error), and can't update numbers in documents amongst other issues

This is quite a desparate last ditch attempt to help one of my users who has been plagued with Adobe Acrobat issues since we switched their laptop. It's quite a varied array of issues and it's quite hard to summarise them all but I will try!
We've had some issues related to some specific fonts (Effra for example), and editing some existing documents. Whenever you try to change numbers it will randomly become wingdings/symbols.
Sometimes they will get an error when they try to save (Error 109 - will include screenshot) which is incredibly frustrating as they will complete a tremendous amount of work on a document, then not save itself and there's nothing they can do with it. I found a similar thread with the same error code, that suggested using Adobe cleaner so we used the Cloud cleaner, as well as the AcroCleaner - then re-installed and it has been exactly the same since.

I also know it's not the document itself as when we send that exact document to a colleague, it works absolutely no problem and doesn't experience the same issues.
I'm feeling a bit dejected with it, and contemplating just switching their laptop again to see if the issue follows them again!
Please if anyone has experienced any issues like this and has any advice at all - it would be massively apprieciated!!!

@dan_4223 have you thought of changing the 'Effra font'? That would be my first reaction to change it. And is it a variable font—sometimes, Adobe apps don't really play nicely with them! Check to see if there are a non-variable fonts, look for "Bold" or "Regular"—variabl fonts have a sliding scale for things like weight, width, or slant
