Adobe Acrobat Pro rotates text boxes on its own

My organization is running into an issue where we're inserting text boxes and text callouts, then when scrolling down or when saving, closing, and then reopening the text boxes rotate on their own. Has anyone else seen this or found a resolution? We can (and ultimately do) end up recreating the work, but I'm just wondering if there is something we're doing or some configuration that in enabled whichh is causing this to happen? These documents have been provided by our clients and we have not run OCR on them.

    So it turns out that what I was told (and thus posted) above was not 100% accurate. Folks were inserting text boxes then running OCR using the default output of "Searchable Image."After testing the three output options in the "Recognize Text" tool in Acrobat Pro, we found that both the "Searchable Image" and "Editable Text and Images" output options rotate text boxes and the boxes cannot be rotated. Instead we have to delete and replace them. Our testing did reveal that the "Searchable Image (Exact) output option was the correct solution for us. This option not only made the PDFs searchable, but did not affect the orientation of the text boxes our staff had already placed on the PDF. I have passed this along to our staff for everyone's use, however, my recommendation to my staff and others is to run OCR before placing any comments or annotations on their PDFs.

    Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the delay in response.

    This is quite an unusual behavior that would be better determined if you could provide a screen recording of your workflow or how the file looks when adding text boxes and after saving it. 

     

    Here are a couple of suggestions to try on:

    1- If you have received these files from the client via email attachment or cloud link, then save it locally on your system and start working on it. 

    2- 

    Go to Acrobat> Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once (you must save all the work before restarting)
