Adobe Acrobat Pro X - problems with text field

Hello, someone can help me with my noobness and clarify why can't I free type in the two document below?

I insert the cursor, it blinks, but when I type, nothing happens.

Since there is no form field in these documents you must use the "Add text" comment tool to fill them.

You could also use the "Edit Text" tool but as far as I can remember in Acrobat X this tool is a nightmare. 😉

The documents have no fillable text fields.

You can add form text fields and fill the fields.
