Hi Parul

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Adobe Acrobat XI is an old and EOL application and not supported on the latest Mac and Windows OS.  To know more about the supported OS details for Acrobat XI please check the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/system-requirements-old-versions.html#AcrobatXIPro

For info about the EOL please check here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/end-of-support-acrobat-xi-reader-xi.html

Regards

Amal

What do you mean by "edit", exactly?

For viewing and signing the free Reader is sufficient. If you want to be able to perform real edits on the file you will need Acrobat Pro DC (subscription-based) or 2020 ("perpetual" license, not recommended for Mac computers).
