Hello,

I am having a challenge to find the right way to set up acrobat pro XI page replacing formatting. Situation is following: I got an Adobe Acrobat Pro XI from different supplier than my colleagues. At the moment, while working with the same files I have an issue, occurring when I am trying replace several pages with word document it changes the layout and size. So I open full page view > Tools > Replace > select the document *.docx > selecting effective pages then OK, it pulls out same format as docx file has. In my case it's letter format, while my colleagues by taking same actions got a proper A4 format, as whole PDF document has. I believe that secret to success is staying within settings and maybe you can help me to find the right way to do it.

Best,

You're expecting Acrobat to convert the pages you're inserting to be the same as those in the rest of the file? That's not going to happen. You would need to export the Word file to PDF using the same page size, and then insert those pages. It's not going to be done for you.

Thank you for reply, but as I have stated, colleagues of mine, while using same files (both .pdf and .docx) can proceed with replacement of pages keeping original size of pages in pdf format. Meaning that if they proceed in Adobe ACrobat pro XI having pdf file in A4 size proceeding with those steps Tools > Pages > Replace > selecting MS word file sized as "Letter" > proceeding with replacement> OK they get adjusted size A4 in pdf. Therefore it proves that there is an issue with some settings, but I am not sure where are they.

Sorry, but that's simply not the case. Maybe by chance the files they are converting have the same page size as the PDF, but it's not something the application will do for you purposefully.
