Adobe Acrobat Professional stürzt ab bei Suche

Hallo

Ich habe ein Problem mit Acrobat Professional: Das Programm stürzt sehr häufig ab, wenn ich die Suchfunktion (oder Erweiterte Suche) verwende. Ich habe bereits versucht, den Cache zu leeren und die Schnellsuche zu deaktivieren. Das bringt aber nicht wirklich viel.  Hat jemand eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte?

Ich arbeite mit MacOS Mojave, Version 10.14.5.

I have a problem with Acrobat Professional: The program crashes very often when I use the search function (or Advanced Search). I have already tried to clear the cache and disable the quick search. But that doesn't really help.  Does anyone have any idea what I could do?

I'm working with MacOS Mojave, version 10.14.5.

Hi There,

Apologies for the trouble caused, as described, the application is crashing during the search or Advanced Search, correct?

What is the dot version of the application? To check the version of the application you may refer to the link - Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Please check for any missing updates. Go to Help > Check For Updates. To know more about the latest version available please refer to the link - DC Release Notes — Release Notes for Acrobat DC Products

Try to disable the protected view and Enhanced Security. Go to Adobe Acrobat DC > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Turn Off The protected view and uncheck Enhanced Security. restart the application and check.

Note: Disabling the Protected view and Enhanced Security is for testing purpose only, please turn ON the security settings after testing, irrespective of the result.

Thank you for your answer!

I was using an old Acrobat Reader version but this problem only occurs since updating to MacOS Mojave. I'll give Acrobat DC a try and hope that this solves my problem.

Adding on to the discussion, we need some more information that will help us in investigating the bug:

  • Could you please share the exact steps of the workflows that you're trying to execute?
  • Could you please share the files which you’re using with the Find tool so that we can try to reproduce the issue at our end?
  • Could you please confirm that this issue is happening with that specific file or with other files also?
