Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes when printing

Adobe Acrobat Reader (Version 2022.003.20281) crashes whenever I try to print PDF documents on my Mac Book Pro (16inch, 2019) which is running macOS Big Sur.

All software is up to date, I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Reader, and restarted many times.

The printer is Xerox 7500, I have installed the most recent print drivers although we dont get as far as sending data to the printer, Adobe Reader crashes as soon as print is pressed.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Alex27832358p9mu

Sorry to hear about your experience.

Please try the troubleshooting steps suggested below and see if that makes a difference.

1- As the application is crashing over Print, then try

Navigate to Adobe Acrobat Reader >Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat, then give Print command.

2- Remove the application once again using the cleaner tool.

Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s files traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat Reader installer from here:

https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

2- If it still doesn't work, create the Root account on mac and launch Acrobat Reader. Enable Root account

Thanks,

Akanchha
