Adobe Acrobat Reader DC keeps demanding a password. How do I make it stop?

I've spoken with Adobe customer support 4 times. We've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my Mac laptop (OS is Big Sur 11.4).  Adobe still wants my password. I get a message on my laptop inviting me to bypass the sign ins... and I'm taken to an app for phone or tablet.  I'm not using a phone or tablet. How do I use the app without having to sign in every time I open a pdf? I can't remember passwords.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. AS described you are getting the sign in prompt every time you open the PDF.
