Hello,

Sometimes an invoice shows corrupted font. The pdf is completely unreadable.

When opening in ms Edge it is fine,

I've attached an example.

The acrobat version is 2021.005.20060 which seems to be the latest

I've tried setting the language from NL to EN and vice versa but no luck

Any tips for me ?

tnx

frank

Are the documents internally created (i.e., you made the PDF file) or externally created (i.e., a supplier sends you an PDF file)?

With such a document, go to File→Properties→Fonts and post a screenshot.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, Adobe acrobat shows corrupted font and the PDF is completely unreadable.

Please go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac) > Preferences > Page Display > Under Rendering, select 'Use local font' and Click OK and reboot the application and see if that works for you.

Also, web browsers use their own PDF mechanism to render and display the PDF content and they are not Adobe dependant.

Hope this information will help

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the workflow/steps you did to create the PDF file? Please try to create the PDF using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC application and see if that works for you.

A font can be embedded only if it contains a setting by the font vendor that permits it to be embedded. For more information about font embedding please check the help page - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-fonts.html
