Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.0 vs Adobe PDF Pack

Question

We have purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard for £11.42 per month however we noticed that we are unable to convert PDF to excel. We also note when comparing different versions of Adobe, the much cheaper version of Adobe PDF Pack at £3.97 per month provides amongst others, the facility of converting PDF files to Word/Excel/RTF/Powerpoint.

Perhaps you could advise in return if we should in retrospect look at changing our Adobe bundle from Adobe Acrobat Standard to Adobe PDF Pack so that we could at least convert PDF files to Excel and also save quite a considerably amount of money as a result. It would be beneficial for us to receive a detailed comparison on the different functions between the two products.

I don't know where the version "Acrobat Standard 7.0" comes in, but when you have a subscription to Adobe Acrobat, you should have version XI or DC (with the option of running the latest). There was no subscription version of any version of Acrobat before XI.

If you are still running Acrobat 7, then it's time to upgrade. Acrobat Standard DC will allow you to export to the same formats as Acrobat Pro, with the exception of PowerPoint (at least that was the case in Standard XI, and I assume this was not changed). You select File>Export To>... and then pick the appropriate sub menu.
