Adobe Acrobat Upgrade Help Please

I'm currently running Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard (Version 9.0.0).

I'd like to upgrade to a newer version, but there are so many types, I'm very confused.

Adobe Acrobat DC 2015

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2023

Adobe Acrobat Standard 2020

Adobe Acrobat X Pro

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

I'm currently running MS Windows 10, but will probably upgrade to Windows 11 soon.

I'm on a fixed income, so I'd also like to avoid a "subscription" fee.

Can anyone please advise me which my best option would be?

I don't want to make this purchase and have issues later.

Thank you.  John

You can't upgrade from Acrobat 9. You need to purchase a new license.

If you don't want a subscription your only options are Acrobat 2020 Pro or Acrobat 2020 Standard, and the latter is only for Windows. The subscription is actually less likely to have issues in the long run, as the "classic" version of Acrobat is rarely updated and Adobe seems to be moving away from it as time passes. After a couple of years you'll need to purchase an upgrade license for it, to keep up with the new OS releases, so it might not even be more affordable in the long run.

Most of the versions in your list are completely outdated, by the way, and some might not work at all. If you're about to buy this license from somewhere that offers them you should be very careful. You're more likely than not to get scammed, or to get illegal software. Buy only directly from Adobe or certified resellers.
