Question

Adobe Acrobat will not open

For years, I have not been able to get Adobe Acrobat to open on my computer. That has happened on two different Mac computers. I am currently using a MacBook Pro 2020 M1. I have installed and uninstalled numerous times. I even had an Adobe tech remote into my computer once and they were unable to fix things.

Whenever I try to open Adobe Acrobat with a document or just on its own it will attempt to launch and then it will shut down before the window even opens. I then receive an error message and am asked if I would like to report the issue "Acrobat quit unexpectedly. Click reopen to open the application again. Click report to see more detailed informationa and send a report to Apple."

Any tips?

see if you can update your cc desktop app

uninstall acrobat including preferences per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

clean your computer of acrobat files per https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

restart your computer

reinstall acrobat on an internal hard drive using your cc desktop app
