Adobe Acrobat X Pro: Does not find my scanner.

The Brother printer/scanner is on the network. Acrobat can see the Brother as a printer but when I want to use Brother as a scanner then it is no longer there. Acrobat only lists my old scanner as available scanners.

The problem arose after my January 04 update of the Windows 10. Before that, the Brother worked both as printer and as scanner.

Other answers on Adobe fora suggests e.g. "Change Data Transfer Method under Scanner Options", but I cannot find any "Scanner Options" in my Acrobat X.

Any suggestions?

Regards,

ChG

There could be multiple root cause for this issue like drivers problem, connectivity problem, compatibility issue, hardware issue or installation problem. Please try some troubleshoot option available in the link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-scanner-issues-acrobat.html.

You are using an older version of Acrobat. So I suggest you, please use the trial version of latest Acrobat DC- https://acrobat.adobe.com/in/en/free-trial-download.html. Also, you will have an option while installing Acrobat DC that it won't impact your installed version of Acrobat 10.

Thanks.

What good would running Acrobat DC be?
