Thanks too @Dave Creamer of IDEAS for the link, I will read the different instructions

I have to use 2 precise, different emails on the website.

Thanks again a lot @Tariq Ahmad@try67@Dave Creamer of IDEAS for your helping hands!

I have considered all your suggestions. It took a little time because I use the german Acrobat version and it is the first time I have to do that.

Have tried, tested and implemented the following steps:
-let the field detect automatically to see what happen
-add text fields and checkboxes manually,
-do the formatting and control/change the properties
-upload the file in Typo3 and embed as a link
-make the online test to see if I can fill the form, it worked

it's the turn of the programmer to set up the email addresses.

Hope my English is good enough for everyone to understand :)!
Best regards!

Hi @tekles,

Thanks for your question. I can see where the confusion comes from, since Acrobat has different ways to work with forms depending on what you need.

If your goal is just to make an existing PDF fillable:

  • In Acrobat (even in older versions), you can usually go to Tools > Forms (or Prepare Form in newer versions).

  • From there, Acrobat can detect fields automatically, or you can manually add text fields, checkboxes, etc.

If your goal is for participants to fill it out directly on a website and then submit it back:

  • Acrobat itself doesn’t provide a built-in way to publish a live web form.

  • You’d need either:

    • To host the PDF on your site so users can download, fill, and send back (via email button, for example), or

    • Use a service like Adobe Acrobat Sign or another online form service that integrates with web pages.

And, if you want participants to fill out the form directly on your website and submit it online, Acrobat alone won’t do that. The recommended option is to use an Adobe Acrobat Sign web form. With Acrobat Sign, you can:

  • Convert your PDF into a web form,

  • Publish it as a link or embed it directly into your website,

  • Collect responses securely, and track everything from your Sign dashboard.

Here’s an overview: Adobe Sign Web Forms Help

Could you clarify if you want:

  1. A PDF people download, fill, and email back,

    or

  2. An actual form embedded on your website that participants complete online?

That will help the community point you to the best steps or resources.

Thanks a lot for this quck answer 😃!

to clarify my goal is this : "want participants to have the possibilty to fill out the form directly on the website and submit it online". At the present time participants download and print the form, send it per Mail or fill out and bring it to our center.

Therefore I would need to have the form fillable beforehand and embed as a link on the website, so that it is possible to fill out online.

Best regards, tekles

This is not possible with PDF files. Use a web-form.
