Question

Adobe closes if I don't agree to free trial or upgrade

I was perfectly happy a few days ago prior to subscribing to adobe. I read a lot of PDFs but subscribed to the basic acrobat so that I could convert a table to excel.

Now, whenever I open a PDF, the app takes over and asks me to upgrade to Pro or take a free 7 day trial. When I close this box the app and my PDF closes.

So previously I didn't pay and could read PDFs and now I have paid and can't.

Virtual assistant is usless!

It works if I go through the online portal and drag the PDF into it but I just want to open the PDF and get on with it.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I hope you're doing well, and I apologize for the delayed response and trouble.

Upon reviewing the Adobe ID (email) you used to log in to the community platform, I found that you have an active subscription to Adobe Acrobat Export PDF services. This is an online Adobe Document Cloud service that allows you to reuse content from PDF files. Instead of retyping information, you can use your Export PDF subscription to convert PDF files into editable Microsoft Word, Excel, and RTF (rich text format) documents. For more details, you can refer to this article: Adobe Export PDF FAQ.

Please note that this service works online and is not compatible with the desktop Acrobat application. If you attempt to use it in the desktop app, you will encounter a "Trial/Subscribe again" message. To continue using your current subscription, log in to Adobe Acrobat Export PDF using your registered email ID.

If you prefer to use the service on a desktop, download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software. You may need to uninstall the currently installed Acrobat application and then install the free Acrobat Reader.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks,
Anand Sri
