Adobe Customer service is dropping the ball migrating my files from personal to business

I built my personal adobe profile 25 years ago for graphic arts and use Illustrator and Photoshop frequently.

14 years ago I started a business and use Acrobat to create invoices and bids.

I recently started using e-sign and was annoyed when all of the responses came back to my personal email and not my business email. So I changed my login to my business email and requested Adobe to migrate my files from my personal profile to my business profile for streamlining. Mind you I have thousands of files amassed over the last 12 years to migrate, so I get it that it would take awhile, but to go one by one, as was suggested, would take me weeks of migrating the files in that way.  It took several hours to completely explain what I wanted and have my issue ushered up the chain to someone who said they could help. Turns out there was supposed to be a prompt, which I never got, when I first logged back in after changing my billing details, asking if I wanted to migrate my personal files to my business profile. I would have said “yes” as that was exactly what I wanted to do. I never saw a prompt for this when I logged back in. The Representative said they could migrate the files for me in the back ground and it would be done by Thursday. This was last Wednesday.

Thursday I was told I would have all of my Acrobat files on my business profile. That didn’t happen, and someone called me around 5pm from a number in Rhode Island which I figured was spam. I didn’t answer. They left a voicemail and it turns out it was Adobe calling to notify me that my file migration was complete, which I also received an email stating the same and my case was closed. I logged in and still no Acrobat files in my business profile. So I called again to get a new case number since the first one was labeled closed.

After another hour long conversation and ushering up the chain to someone who said they could help, I was told I would have what I needed done by Friday 10:00 and someone would call me at 10:00 to make sure I was happy with the outcome.

Friday no call.

So I called back AGAIN taking more than an hour to AGAIN explain my issue and wait for the representative to read through the extensive notes collecting over the past 2 days. Turns out my photos were migrated to my Lightroom, which was good, but I don’t use those for my business, but none of my Acrobat files were transferred, still. So they scheduled another call back for Saturday morning 10:00 when I was available. I did receive 2 emails from Adobe regarding my call backs, yes multiple. It seems the representative didn’t realize it was Friday and that my call back was for Saturday… They’re not open and available Saturday, so they scheduled it for Monday, today at 10:00, which I had an appointment at that time, but would take Adobe’s call when it rang. Well, it didn’t ring. No call back AGAIN.

So I called them back this evening (Monday, 5 days post initiation of issue), and had to call 3X!!!!  First call I opted to have Adobe call me back when a representative comes available, which was stated to be a 30 minute wait… No call back, so I called again, this time with an hour wait and I stayed on the phone to try and get better results than waiting for someone to call me back. After 15 minutes on hold the music stopped and dead air was on Adobe’s side. I got disconnected. I called again, but ended the call to opt for another contact channel. So I am here, trying STILL to see where Adobe is on migrating my files to my business account so I don’t have to go back and forth logging in and out to get work done. I was also told not to use my business cloud until the migration is completed. I found a work around, but come on y’all!!!! This is ridiculous. You have to do better.

Is there anyone out there who can let me know what the status is of my Acrobat file migration?????

    Correct answer Hawkfreak

Just saw that I received an email from Adobe re: my pdf files that, apparently, cannot be migrated but have to be manually downloaded from the personal to the business… That would have been nice to know that is my only option LAST WEDNESDAY WHEN I FIRST INQUIRED!!!!

I hope this helps save someone else pdf headaches from Adobe.

    Peace and kindness to all.
