Question

Adobe DC has been broken for the last 2 months

Adobe acrobat has been broken for 2 or 3 months. I have uninstalled installed and repaired. It remains broken. Adobe Acro CEF stops working - so many times I have lost count.

Adobe is broken, not my system. Any of my computers I try Adobe Acro CEF stops working.

It really needs to be fixed.

This is a support issue and there is no Adobe help - just forums of poor users who cannot make Adobe work

Are you getting any erros at all?

Did you contact support at all so they can check what could be the problem?

In any case, based on the screenshot that you shared, it looks like this is happening in every MS Windows computers according to your observations.

Are all of these computers using the same operating system or is it also occuring in different versions of MS Windows?

Conversely, are all those Windows computers using the same exact version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC or different version updates?

Is Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat Pro installed concurrently in the same computer(s) that are showing this issue? If yes, is the Adobe Reader version newer or older than the Adobe Acrobat Pro version or vice versa?

However, It appears to me as if the AcroCEF executable is blocked by the Anti-Virus or Firewall service.  If that would be the case, we cannot assume the service is broken.

Have you tried whitelisting the AcroCEF executable in MS Windows Defender and see if it does any different?

See if these Adobe Helpx Guidance are relevant to resolving the issue:

Thank you for responding.

I am not able to contact Support (I am not a corporation). Support is not available to me.

So far, all Windows 10 Pro. I have not tried on Windows 11 yet.

All the same Adobe Pro DC version all up to date

I never combine Reader and Pro.

Re: AcroCEF :  I will see if Defender can Whitelist this. This is truly an Adobe responsibility however.

I do not use Fill and Sign but I will check this as well.

Thank you. However Adobe Pro is exceedingly expensive (10x more than Office) and so quality should be much higher than it is.

I uninstalled Adobe DC Pro and restarted. I will see next week if I am able to reinstall Adobe DC Pro.
