Adobe DC Pro - Send of Signature - UK Date format ignored

I seem to be having an issue with Adobe DC Pro where i have a Date field which is not acting as expected.

Within Adobe DC Pro 'Prepare form' i have selected the field and changed the format to 'Date'

Due to Adobe poor UX I do not have any default options for non-US date formats (even though only 4.4% of the world population use it)

I have created a 'custom' rule and entered 'DD/MM/YYYY'.

When previewing the form in Adobe DC Pro, and when sending the PDF for people to download and complete, the formatting works correctly, users can manually enter a Day/Month/Year date, equally when using the calendar tool the date displays correctly.

However, when using 'Send for Signature', and the user opens the PDF in the online web app, this date formatting rule reverts back to US style.

Can someone help me fix this? Is this just Adobe arrogance in creating software for Americans only?
