adobe disabled acrobat

Using Mac OSX El Capitan and Adobe Creative Suite CS4. Acrobat worked for several months and then stopped. I uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall. It won't work. Just hangs there. I've talked to three support techs about this with no result.

Does this program actually work with El Capitan for other people?

Creative Suite Cs4 was bundled with Acrobat 9 Pro. And Acrobat 9 was never tested with this version of Mac Osx series.

Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done. 

I would suggest upgrading to the latest version of Acrobat.
