I tried the first and last options and they both have free trials but are not free. I couldn’t tell about adobe digital editor.

I found a free version but I need to install it on new laptop and can’t find it again. Like a unicorn, it was out there 3 mos ago and may still exist, but Adobe seems to want to take back its promise of a free reader forever. Oh, and in my search, I came across a version that included a promotional add-on called McAffee. Make sure you turn off any promotional add-ons or you will be sorry.

Adobe Reader is still free and easily available through its dedicated download page.

https://get.adobe.com/reader/

You can choose to not download the McAfee antivirus software. I use a different anti-malware product myself, so I don’t choose to download any additional shovelware, and you have the option to do the same.

Hope this helps,

Every time I use the link to try to install the free reader, I instead get the 7 day trial version of Acrobat. Have tried four times now, any suggestions?
