I have a worker who is having issues with printing PDFs from adobe. When ever they try to print adobe acrobat freezes and then at the top the program says (Not Responding). I tried to unistall adobe but that frooze as well. I restated their computer and once logged back in adobe was gone. So I reinstalled adobe and after it was done i tried to print a pdf but it frooze again when trying to print and then again at the top it says not responding. Anyone have any ideas or sugjestions i could try to get this issue resolved.

Hi @bradley_4678

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.

Can you try the following troubleshooting steps:-

  1. Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Start-up", "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat

Note: these changes are only for testing purposes. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.

Try to print and see if the hang is still present.

If the hang is still present, Then

  1. Please, Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Download the Acrobat installer from here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

If it still doesn't work, do let us know.

Also if it is possible can you share the file in this thread. Also please share the OS info and Acrobat version you have installed.

Thanks,

Sanjeeb
