Adobe icon blocking menu in Chrome/Google docs

Could you please share more details about the issue?

1. Which Adobe Acrobat extension for Chrome is installed, and what version is shown under chrome://extensions?

2. Does the large Adobe icon appear only in Google Docs, or on other websites in Chrome as well?

3. What Chrome version and operating system are you using?

4. Does the icon appear immediately when opening a Google Doc, or only after using an Acrobat extension feature such as Convert to PDF or Edit PDF?

5. Can you please share a screenshot?

Please note that the large floating "Adobe / Convert to PDF" icon is not part of Google Docs; it is placed on the page by the Adobe Acrobat Chrome extension. Adobe's extension does not currently have a setting to hide just that in-page button, but you can stop it from appearing on Google Docs while keeping Acrobat working for PDFs everywhere else by limiting the extension's site access in Chrome.

1. Right-click the Adobe Acrobat icon in your Chrome toolbar (click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon first if it is hidden).

2. Hover "This can read and change site data."

3. Choose "When you click the extension."

4. Reload your Google Docs tab; the overlay should be gone.

Or, to exclude only Google Docs and leave the extension fully automatic elsewhere:

1. Go to chrome://extensions, find Adobe Acrobat, and click Details.

2. Under Site access, choose "On specific sites" and add only the sites where you want it (leaving https://adobe.ly/4gMvV3d off), or choose "On click."

Either option keeps Acrobat available for viewing and handling PDFs; it just will not inject that button into Docs.
