Adobe Licensing App Quit Unexpectantly MacOS 15.4.1 + 15.6

I've tried to install Adobe 2020 on 2 different Mac. One on 15.4.1 and the other on 15.6.

Adobe installs normally with no issues (I put in the license key, etc). The issue is when I go to run it the first time and Adobe launches the Adobe Licensing Application to have me log in. I'll put in the information to log in, but after I hit enter, the app crashes every time, on both Macs.

I've reinstalled it multiple time and even installed creative cloud and logged into there first, but 2020 still requires me to log in separately.

ChatGPT tells me that the licensing application is now incompatible with Sequoia, even though I just installed in on a Mac a couple weeks ago that's on 15.5. Is anyone else having this issue or know what's changed?

Hello @Lane33108935vw3a

I hope you are doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

The supported Mac OS versions for Acrobat Classic 2020 are: macOS v10.14, macOS v10.15, macOS v11, macOS v12, macOS v13, or macOS v14 (Sonoma). See this article for more information: https://adobe.ly/41Qy5s0

This issue is due to incompatibility between the Adobe Licensing Application and newer macOS versions, particularly macOS Sequoia (15.x). If possible, install Acrobat 2020 on a Mac running macOS 14.x or earlier.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

@Lane33108935vw3a what don't you trust ChatGPT? It's actually right... you even said... 'I installed it on 15.5' but tried to 'install on 15.6' and now it'sincompatible. Adobe 2020 is an older software—that's a 5 year old app, and Adobe will not release a patch for a nearly five-year-old perpetual license product to make it compatible with the newest OS...that slightly updated patch literally broke the older licensing application! Just like that!

You could go back, if you have 'Time Machine' set-up, you could roll back...just never ever update your OS. I literally had dinner with a former colleague and he said he is still using CS3 because he doesn't want to update his OS knowing that the CS3 won't work on anything! He's too cheap to get CC! - But then, you deal with potential securty issues and vulnerabilities

You forgot the part where I said I tried installing it on 15.4.1 as well and it didn't work.

ChatGPT has it's moments but after explaining to it that I installed it on 15.5 not too long ago, it started backtracking on it's incompatibility claim. So, no, I don't 100% trust ChatGPT.

The one I need 2020 on is a brand new iMac, so I don't have any backups to roll back to. I was hoping someone on here knew of any workarounds.
