Adobe New Layout

I did not know Adobe changed the layout. I just upgraded to a new computer and had a difficult time adjusting to the new layout.  I tried the new layout for several days and it was hard to get use to. It covered my document and it took me longer to find what I needed. Having a fluid toolbar that can be moved left to right was a distraction. Just keep the toolbar at top. I was unable to switch back with the instructions since in the new layout it does not allow to disenable. I guess this is a Adobe thing. I had to finally reach out to Dell IT to have them remove the new layout and reinstall my older verision which was only 5 months old. I am not sure if Adobe did a testing of the new layout before putting it out to the universe, but the new layout would not be my first choice.

You can switch back to the older Acrobat interface.

Go to the View menu (Mac) or the Menu menu (Windows) in Acrobat (or Reader) and select Disable new Acrobat. It will require a restart of the application, but when it comes back, you'll have the old UI.

The New Acrobat has been out since 2023. The fact that my instructions in this forum for how to revert back to the old Acrobat is among the most popular posts in the last two years is a testament to how well received the new user interface is.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
