Adobe PDF files not Opening

On 06-11-25 I could open PDFs, but after I had opened a few they would no longer open. I would have to restart my computer or do a ctrl/alt/delete, then select task manager, and end the adobe application. That would work temporarily, but then it would stop opening PDFs again. I never had this issue prior to 06-11-25. When something that has worked and then it doesn't I as asked myself, what changed. I checked the properties for my adobe application and it showed there was a modification on 06-10-25. I see there was a planned update on 06-10-25. Is there something in this update that is causing this new issue?

As Dave suggested, please try reinstalling the application. You may use the steps suggested below:

-Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://adobe.ly/3TnmXhC).
-Reboot the machine
-Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: https://adobe.ly/3HCwtek.

 

If the issue still occurs, please share the Acrobat and OS version numbers on the machine. Also, collect the logs using the steps suggested here: https://adobe.ly/4kB2NN9 and share the logs with us.

I would try an uninstall and reinstall. Could be that something glitched during the install. Make sure you turn off any virus detection software.
