Adobe PDF not printing correctly

When printing a file to Adobe PDF it does not save the document properly.  

It is just a bunch of symbols.  But it prints find to Microsoft PDF.  This is a recent problem as it has worked fine in the past.  I am not able to trust Adobe to save files correctly and am having to go look at each file to make sure it saved correctly.

sorry to hear about your experience. Would you please confirm the exact workflow you follow? 

What is the exact file format that you are printing to pdf and how? 

 

*Printing a .pdf file to Adobe PDF printer is not recommended.

The example I attached to the question was a png file. It was a receipt that I was trying to pdf from the AT&T website, for my records.
