Hi there,

I'm having trouble with Adobe PDF Print and Microsoft Excel.

When I preview before printing, it looks perfect. But when I print, it becomes misaligned.

This is an issue at work as we need hte boxes to be aligned in all pages. I'm using the latest Adobe Acrobat and our copier is a Ricoh MP C6004ex.

Can I get some help with the troubleshooting?

Thank you in advance!

Hello @EvelynA24

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

Please ensure you are on the latest version of Adobe Acrobat: Win: 25.001.20672, Mac: 25.001.20668, Sept 03, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

Recommended Troubleshooting Steps: Adjust Excel and Acrobat Settings.

Avoid “Fit Sheet on One Page”:

  • Instead, manually adjust column widths and margins to fit the content.
  • Use “No Scaling” and preview the layout.

Print as Image:

  • In Acrobat: Menu > Print > Advanced > Print as Image.
  • This bypasses complex layout rendering and often resolves misalignment.

Use PDF Maker Plugin Instead of Print Workflow:

  • From Excel: Acrobat > Create PDF.
  • This method is more stable than File > Print > Adobe PDF.

Ricoh-Specific Adjustments

  • Run Ricoh’s test sheet alignment function to calibrate paper feed and horizontal alignment.
  • Ensure Ricoh drivers are updated and compatible with Adobe’s latest RIP changes, and ensure the latest Ricoh driver is installed.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
