Question

We cannot use Prepaid Adobe Pro and get a notification saying:The application has failed to start because its side by side Configuration is incorrect

Thanks for reaching out. As described above you are getting the error 'The application has failed to start because its side by side Configuration is incorrect'

In some cases it occurs because the machine has Microsoft Visual C++ installed, and the Visual C++ libraries have become corrupted.

In other cases it indicates that the installation did not completely finish. In some situations the installation will require a reboot when finished. However, the 'reboot' dialog is not always displayed. In these cases the install log will show:

Restarting your computer is recommended: In order to Finish the installation, please restart the computer

Install the Microsoft Visual C++ using the link https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

Reboot the machine

Relaunch the applications.

If it still doesn't work

Remove the application using Adobe Acrobat Cleaner Tool - https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Reboot the computer.
Install the application using the link - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html
