Adobe Pro DC Portfolios. Big step backwards

I was used to Adobe Pro 9/10/11 until last week when i was 'upgraded' to Pro DC as we are now using Windows 10. I believe Adobe Pro 11 is end of life ?
I used Adobe Pro 11 to create portfolios which worked very well until i looked at Pro DC.

Now the layout has changed so much that once you the portfolio has been created you cannot see the first page which was very helpful. Now all you see is the adobe logo.
The various views have disappeared, 'grid' being my favourite.
The addition of a files into a created portfolio goes straight to the ens where you cannot drag and drop to where it needs to be placed within the portfolio

Have my IT department made a mistake saying Pro DC is the latest version of Adobe Pro??

I understand Flash is to be made redundant. But why if PRo XI did exactly what you wanted yet the lastest version does not.

Is there another version of Adobe Pro that equals or betters 11 rather than DC as i feel this is a huge step backwards, not forwards as there is less functionality.

Is Adobe Pro 2017 equal or better than 11 too?

HELP !!

Thanks for your time.

DC is the latest. Portfolios have been radically simplified so they work without Flash. When Flash goes away your old portfolios will look no better. I didn't say any of this was a good thing. Really, building Flash into Acrobat was the mistake which led to all this.

Is there a way to see the first page of each of the files in the portfolio instead of the adobe logo, as in Pro XI pls?
