Question

Adobe Pro DC - Search and Replace - repeat, or Replace "ALL"

Have to find certain text (words) in my PDF document, and replace that text with 'nothing'.  There are hundreds of instances of this certain text.

Questions:

-  Is there an option to "Replace ALL" in Adobe Pro DC in the find/replace feature?

-  If not, how do I repeat this find/replace process - automatically ?

Thank you for your time.

- No.

- You don't. PDF files were not meant to be edited in such an extensive way. Go back to the original file used to create the PDF, make the edits there, and then create a new PDF file from it.

If you just want to remove the text, and don't mind that there will be a blank space where it was, though, then you can do it using the Search & Remove Text, under Tools - Protection.

Thank you for your time explaining your reply.  The text in question is text in a watermark (Private and Confidential) which had been applied by the originating program, not by Adobe.  Since it is on all 312 pages of the PDF, it was a question I thought I might find the answer to if I sent in the question here.  I do not have access to the originating program, unfortunately - wish I did!  When I delete the text using Find/Replace, it handily deletes the text of the watermark, but I have to continually select Replace (with nothing) on every page.  Hence, the question I posed.

I did attempt to use the Protection - Search and Remove Text - but in doing so it replaced the text in the watermark with a 'white fill' (set in the Redaction Properties).  The result was that a white oblique streak appeared across each page in place of the watermark.

I am somewhat familiar with Action Wizards - but not javascript - and was hoping someone might reply with ideas how to utilize an Action Wizard for this process.  Is that possible?

No. You have to do it manually.
