Adobe Pro DC twain scan error

I'm using Adobe Pro DC and a samsung multifunction and getting the following error code when trying to create pdf from my scanner: Error During Scan. Please restart program and/or switch the device off, then switch on and wait while it warms up? I've had this setup for several years and no issues until now. I've tried other software avenues to see if it was a scanner problem and it works great with other software just not with Adobe. I've also reinstalled Adobe and still getting the same error. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you also do a security update to your Windows during that time? I noticed that you've already checked out this thread: Error during scan
