Adobe Pro editing - formatting issues

I recently starting using Adobe Pro to edit an existing pdf document. Issues are, if additional text is added, sentences below this overlap, looking like two sentences typed on over the other. The other issue is added text pushes the text over the page number. Thanks.

Acrobat is not an editing program, nor is it for creating content from scratch.

It's called a "final format" type of file — that is, it's intended NOT to be edited and to preserve the text, graphics, colors, and layout just as it was in the original source file (such as Word, InDesign, PowerPoint).

Sure, it has primitive editing tools so you can swap a comma for a period or correct a small typo. But to make substantial edits, you'll need to go back to source file (i.e., Word), make the edits there, and re-export a new PDF.
