Question

Adobe Pro licensing

I am working for an agency in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa with slightly over 400 individuals. We currently use Adobe Acrobat X Pro. We however realize that it is no longer supported. Kindly recommend a current equivalent licensed product version with same features that we can acquire for 400 users. Also advise on an authorized supplier in Uganda since our procurement procedure may not allow us to buy directly from Adobe Company

    Hi @master_Hero6578,

Thank you for reaching out, and we understand the urgency given your team size and procurement constraints.

Support for Acrobat 10.x ended November 15, 2015, under Adobe's standard five-year lifecycle, see End of support for Acrobat X and Reader X.

The current equivalent is Acrobat Pro, now licensed on a subscription basis rather than perpetual, available as Acrobat Pro for Teams or Acrobat Pro for Enterprise, both managed through the Admin Console. See Compare Acrobat versions.

For 400 seats, volume purchasing runs through Adobe's VIP program, which scales discounts with license count and has no large upfront commitment; see VIP program overview. At this scale, it is worth asking Adobe or a reseller whether an Enterprise Term License Agreement better fits your procurement needs than a standard VIP; documentation alone will not settle that.

For a local authorized reseller in Uganda, point them to Adobe's own Partner Finder rather than naming a specific company; reseller status is not something documentation can confirm as current.

Given the seat count, suggest they also loop in Adobe Enterprise Support directly for a formal quote: https://adobe.ly/3VScX4u

Please let us know if you need help with the Admin Console migration once licensing is sorted.

    Thanks,
    Tariq
