Question

Adobe Pro "prepare form" does not have start button

Need to create fillable pdf from a current pdf document, do not want to use the send feature, as this is not working for the person I need to have fill out the form.

When selecting Prepare in the past, it would automatically add the fillable sections, but currently it is not do that and requiring me to build each entry over the course of 33 pages.

Help would be much appreciated!

When you first go to Prepare Form mode Acrobat should offer you to recognize fields automatically, IF there aren't already fields in the file. If there are, delete them, save the file, and then go to Prepare Form mode again, and it should ask you. Be aware the results of this process are far from perfect and you would still need to do a lot of adjustments manually after using it, most likely.

I found the issue, it's not the start button but rather a very poor "auto-creation" of the fillable fields. It used to be so much better and now it's useless.

Thanks for pointing out that there may be something in the form. It allowed me to see that there was and it wasn't even accurate. 3x and same outcome.
