Question

Adobe reader and Adobe DC

In April of this year I updated my Adobe plan and they change the name of it to Adobe DC.

Right after that they downloaded a program called creative cloud - this messed up my system And added some other features that I did not want or ask for. Now whenever I use the Adobe I constantly get the message that I'm not connected to the Internet I think this is a result of the Adobe program trying to connect to a USA server.

In any event I've spent about three and a half hours now screwing around try to get this thing up and running and it's still not working the two people that were helping me did not have a clue about what they were talking about and it took me about an hour to figure that out to begin with.

So........... I use Windows 7 and have gone to the fixes that they suggested I go through and all the of told me is that my system is too old now and I should upgrade to another Microsoft product.

Is there anybody's got some good hands-on understanding of how to get around this fix all I want to do is get the good old reliable Adobe program ( the simple form)

Thank you

Hi Randallo,

I'm sorry you had to go through all that to have such a sharp ending.

Here is a current list of requirements for Acrobat DC. There is one option of Windows 7 that may work but since I do not know your system updates, I've no idea if this will work or not.

Unfortunately it's not really possible to continue to add newer/better requested features to an application to every OS there ever was. The list in the above link shows Acrobat more forgiving than many other of Adobe applications but that's of no solace for you.

But yes, the easiest way to get Acrobat DC to work is to update your OS (and computer if necessary). Unfortunately this has been an ongoing issue with software and hardware from the very beginning of the digital age and I have no hope or expectation that this cycle will ever end.

Good luck,
