We have two full time staff (user A & B ) who are signed in to the same account / subscription to use Acrobat DC Pro for editing / merging PDF's and also a part time staff (user C ) who was only using the free Acrobat DC Reader to view PDF's, when user A was off work due to illness and as a temporary measure we upgradred user C Acrobat DC Reader to Pro using the same account / subscription as user A & B. Now that user A has returned user C has no need for Acrobat Pro but now is unable to view PDF's without being prompted to sign in to Acrobat DC Pro.

I am pretty sure that you cannot share one subscription between two (or more) users. You can install Acrobat on two computers, but only if both of them are used by the person who is the license holder (or subscriber), and not at the same time. You need to get a license for each user of the application. Having said that, I am no lawyer, and that is just the way I interpret the EULA that you accepted when you installed the software.

Hi Karl

Not too sure how user C was able to sign in then, however as she now only needs the basic Adobe reader we still have the same problem being asked to sign in just to view PDF's

Create an Adobe account for user C and let her sign in with that account. That should allow you to use Reader without interfering with any other account.
