Hi

I have an issue that Adobe reader DC which use 100 % CPU with only 4 or 5 user on a Citrix Farm installed on WIndows 2016 Datacenter Remote Desktop Services

I Have 20 to 25 users by windows server server and so I need to reduce the CPU usage because the server isn't responsive.

I have already try to give some registry modification on HKCU

 -  bShowMsgAtLaunch (REG_DWORD) 0
 - bDontShowMsgWhenViewingDoc (REG_DWORD) 0

or renaming the RdrCEF.exe processus.

For the last process it give 50% reduction of the cpu usage but we cannot use the sharing to email fonctionnality. So It cannot respond to my problem.

I need to know if someone had resolved this problem?

Adobe pdf reader DC is a standard and the users are form to use this program so I cannot change to another program.

The Adobe acrobat reader is on the last version 20.006.20042.

Any help will be precious

Hi there

We re sorry for the trouble. As described the Acrobat Reader consumes a lot of CPU

The information bubbles that open up in the top right-hand corner of pdf documents can consume a lot of CPU. Please try the following registry settings to each user profile via logon scripts - these disable the info bubbles and therefore prevent the high CPU usage.

KEY = HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\11.0\AVGeneral

DWORD = bReaderShouldShowInfoBubble

VALUE = 0

DWORD = bReaderShowEPDFToolsPaneInfoBubble

VALUE = 0

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
