Adobe Reader DC: impossible to re-install
Hello everyone,
Recently I got a update notification from Adobe and by normal circumstances, I go to apply the update..... for the past 2 hours I have not been able to apply the update or be able to successfully re-install Reader DC. Running Windows 10 64-bit.
Here are the things I have done so far to try and fix it:
- apply update via the update manager (did not work)
- apply update via the download from the website (did not work)
- tried to uninstall reader and the adobe manager (nothing)
- tried to delete the appdata Adobe folder and the Program Files folder (nothing)
- tried using Firefox and Chrome (need I repeat myself?)
- tried directly downloading a installer file (nothing)
- VPN on and off as well as Firewall and antivirus (nothing)
I have tried everything I can think of and the attached screenshot is the same error message I kept getting except one time, I got the 1402 Error (only once).
I have no newer version anywhere. I have no idea why it keeps telling me this when I don't have any associated Adobe file in existence except for Photoshop 11.
If anyone can help with what I can do, it would be really appreciated.... I'm going crazy why this cannot be simpler to install.
