Adobe Acrobat Security - I need to put security on a PDF so it can only be viewed - can you help? Also security to not screen shot, etc. Can you help me figure out how to do this.

No print

No copy

I can find some settings but not all

Thanks

You can prevent printing using a security policy in Acrobat, but there are ways around it.

Preventing copying the file is impossible. You can prevent who can open it using password protection (although someone could also share their password with someone else), or by using DRM technology to limit where the file can be opened (but that is very expensive).

To apply either type of security policy in Acrobat go to File - Properties - Security and apply it there. If you apply both a password to open the file and to edit it make sure they are different, of course. And don't share the latter...

It's also important to know that many PDF viewers will not enforce the printing restriction.
