Question

Adobe text disappears

I have successfully added text to a pdf and saved it to my desktop of my Surface Pro6.  But when I opened the document most of my text disappeared. I opened a new pdf and added the text to it AGAIN....saved it and then opened it -- everything looked great. Closed it and opened it and all of my text has disappeared AGAIN. I am going crazy. Where is my work?  What do I need to do differently?

What are you using to open the PDF and add text to it? That is a reader application. If you want to edit PDFs and add text to them, you should look into Adobe Acrobat.

There are some PDFs that have fields that you can fill out. Depending on how those are build determine if you can save it as is, or if it is set to print only.

More information would help to know what you are doing and what's going wrong.

I am actually using Adobe Acrobat DC. The form is already set up and I am doing fill in text. Everything seems to be filling out and saving fine but then when I open it my text disappears. I don't know if I saved the Adobe Acrobat DC correctly?  Why is the text disappearing?  I have attached the document. There used to be numbers next to line items but they disappeared. The back page also used to be completely full of notes to the educator but they have disappeared also. I am not sure how to undo this.
