Adobe what are you smoking?

WTF are you guys doing? The new update to Acrobat pro is absolute garbage.

1) Updated automatically without my permission.
2) UI has been completely and unnecessarily flipped around. Was this supposed to be an improvement? It's not.
3) Preflight used to be accessible in ONE drop down menu. Now it's buried under All Tools submenus.
4) Font activation in Indesign is STILL broken.

You're a disgrace.

You can revert to the "classic" user interface:

In this screen cap (from a previous post), Windows is on the left, Mac on the right:

Windows: Look for the hamburger menu in the upper left corner (3 horizontal lines where the File menu used to be). Then scroll to Disable New Acrobat.

Mac: View menu, and scroll to Disable New Acrobat.

No need - it looks like Adobe are already getting rightfully pounded in there too...

Your question / comment applies to Reader as well. Who was the idjit who thought it would be cute to get rid of the menu bar, move common commands, like print and zoom to whereever, and have the tools sidebar pop up automatically and thereby forcing the displayed doc to shrink. Maybe I should switch over to Foxit Pro or Nitro Pro. Or maybe OpenOffice. Or just find the last decent version of Reader.

Not surprised. Adobe are nothing if not consistent............................................ly bad.

6) You can no longer Ctrl+Tab to cycle between open documents which I use reguarly to A/B compare.
Now that shortcut opens the ALL TOOLS sidebar and stays there. Garbage.

You are correct that the user should have been asked before changing, however you can easily switch back to the prior interface.

I don't see where this can be done. Nice of Adobe to make it obvious...

Also

5) UI scaling. Not under general prefs anymore. As best I can tell it doesn't exist at all.

There has been about 50 post in the Acrobat forum, each with an answer on how to do it. It's slightly different from Mac  or windows. Of course you could always Google it.
