Adobe X Pro license wont validate on new install

I have a new PC WIndows 10 PRo. I have a valid Adobe X license that I was using on my old WIndows 7 pro PC. I reaplced that PC with a new and want to install adboe X pro on my new PC. I installed it and when It asks for my license, I get that a Qualifying upgrade product was not found. (exactly, this is a NEW PC). So it asks for a valid old license from a 7 pro, 8 pro or 9 pro version. Which I NO LONGER HAVE!!!!

I originally had an old version 6 that was upgraded before that. I have a valid X license that I paid Adobe $199 for, I should be able to install this on my new PC!!!!

If you purchased it directly from Adobe then all of your serial numbers are listed in your account. I have a lot of old software I purchased from Adobe many years ago and the serial numbers for all of them are still in my account even though the software is obsolete.

If you purchased it online somewhere else, and you still have old emails, you might be able to find the serial number that came with the download link. I keep all of my serial numbers/product keys in a text file with the software on a DVD so they are never separated from the installation files. If you registered the software back when you bought it you might be able to get the serial number from Adobe, or it might be in your account already.

Be aware that Acrobat X is outdated and not compatible with your OS version, so problems are to be expected, even if you do manage to activate it.

That's what they want you to believe so you have to buy a new version or switch to subscription. I have used Acrobat Pro XI and it works fine with Windows 10. I never upgraded to the X version so I don't know if it works. I know Acrobat Pro 9 will not work very well.

They said Adobe InDesign CS wouldn't work in Windows 10, but that isn't true. It works fine and that program is about 15 years old. You can't believe everything they claim because they all have a motive to get customers on a pay forever plan then own nothing. When these software companies stop selling perpetual versions I will no longer be a customer and go elsewhere. Their software isn't that special.

Never said it wouldn't work. I said it's not compatible and therefore problems might happen. If you're lucky they won't, but with every update to the OS there's a bigger and bigger chance of it breaking down suddenly, either entirely or parts of it. Also, you won't get security updates and will therefore be vulnerable to various forms of attacks that are not an issue in the newer versions.

Oh, and Acrobat XI is compatible with Windows 10 (for now, at least). Acrobat X is not.

When you buy an upgrade version you MUST be able to prove you qualify... in this case, on a new computer, you will need to enter your previous version's serial number
