adobecollabsync.exe Crash (access_violation_c0000005_adobecollabsync.exe!unknown)

Correct answer Meenakshi_Negi

Hi Hf388390968ami ,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

AdobeCollabSync.exe is the Acrobat Collaboration Synchronizer—a background client that handles cloud collaboration, shared reviews, and Document Cloud notifications. It can be triggered by Acrobat/Reader even when the app isn’t visible.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps suggested below:

1. Update Acrobat/Reader to the latest version. In Acrobat, go to Menu > Help > Check for updates; install and restart Windows.

2. Repair the installation (Windows): Control Panel → Programs and Features → Adobe Acrobat → Change → Repair. Relaunch the application after the repair.

3. Try reinstalling the application using the steps suggested below:

-Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://adobe.ly/3Mo7qOt).
-Reboot the machine
-Install Adobe Acrobat from the following page: https://adobe.ly/4rMhMYu.

Let us know if you continue to experience the same behaviour.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

@Meenakshi Negi  I'm afraid I cannot do that. As the bug is observed in telemetry data. I don't really use the App. Did you paste the troubleshooting steps anywhere to the users?

No, I am not even an Adobe employee, just a forum volunteer.

@Peru Bob May I ask if you are a developer for this App?
