Question

After I make one or two comments, all text in comment pop-ups are underlined in red.

I have been using Acrobat a long while, though now on a new machine. After I open a PDF and manage a successful highlight-comment or two, suddenly all of the text in subsequent comment pop-ups is being underlined in red, as though misspelled. It's as if the language is switching somehow, but the language preferences in Settings remain unchanged, and it's not a keyboard issue, nor is this affecting any other programs. I have restarted Acrobat several times, but it's always the same (one or two comments work fine, then all others are underlined). Any workaround would be greatly appreciated; it's driving me nuts.

Hi @j_6817,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble, and the delayed response.

In case you are still looking for suggestions, have you tried pressing the "F7" key on your keyboard while having the document open?

This should open the spell checker for comments on your document, and you can check if the language in the checker is different to what you are viewing and annotating?

Alternatively, you can try unchecking the "Check spellings while typing" checkbox in Menu-> Preferences-> Spellings.

Hope this helps.
