How do I enable ai assistant on adobe acrobat. My issue is that if I uninstall it and install adobe reader I can use AI Assistant but as soon as it upgrades to adobe acrobat pro it goes away.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

What happens when you try to use the AI Assistant on Acrobat Pro, do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for more clarity.

What is the version of the Acrobat Pro and the OS you are using? Go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure its updated to the latest version 25.01.20693 Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works.

Also, try to enable the AI Assistant from the Acrobat preferences. Go to Preferences (Ctrl, cmd+K) > Generative AI > Check 'Enable AI feature in Acrobat' Click OK and reboot the application and check.

Let us know how it goes.

Here is the following information

Computer OS: Windows 11 Pro, version 24H2, OS build 26100.4061, 64-bit

 Acrobat Pro: version 25.01.20693

When going into Prederences there is no option for Generative AI

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. Please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the direct link https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html and check if that works.
