Alter error message of a date field

Hi, 

 

Is there a way where the error message of a date field can be changed? When typing text with invalid date format, it gives the default error message but it needs to be customized in our use case. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

- No. You'll need to create your own custom Validation, Format and Keystroke scripts to do that, but then the calendar picker won't appear.

- I don't think that's possible, either.

    For point 1: that's what I have got so far too using the way mentioned in: https://acrobatusers.com/forum/forms-acrobat/date-validation-1/  but the datepicker disappears after... 

    For point 2:  Sad..

    or would it be possible if it can prevent user from typing in the text field of the date picker and just let them select date from the date picker?  Thanks
