Aobe Acrobat Pro DC BUG

Hello, community:

I came across this morning what may be a bug in Adobe Acrobat. I opened a password-protected PDF document. The program asked me for the password. If you click "OK" 3 times without providing the password, the program enables the protected functions.

Has anyone had a similar experience with this?

Can you share a screenshot of the "Security" tab, under File menu : Properties ?

Sure, It allowed me to modify the sheets, even without the password.

The security seems to have been set up to allow changing the document anyway. It seems that the bug may have been in asking for the password at all, not in allowing the editing. What did you click which triggered the password prompt?

Do you mean it opens the file without any of the security features? If so, that's very strange (and dangerous!)...

Can you share a sample file that has this issue? Also, please post your exact version of Acrobat.

Exactly, after pressing OK 3 times it allows you to make changes to the document that were not originally allowed. Unfortunately, I can't upload the PDF because it contains confidential information from a work project, but I was surprised to notice this.

The version is Acrobat DC (22.0), in Spanish.

Do you know how the file was protected? What application was used?
