Back in 2018 i bought an Acrobat Pro 2017 license and when i wanted to edit a PDF last week i found out that adobe has revoked my license! When i talked to the support they told me that Amazon (Amazon Media EU Sarl) is not an "authorized" seller and thats the reason why the have revoked my license! Well guess what, thats how you lose customers forever.

Its funny how Adobe immediatly send out an E-Mail to offer me there subscription crap...

Let me first state you are not alone regarding Adobe's ploys to get everyone that purchased a perpetual license for Acrobat little to no choice as they have been doing everything they possibly can to switch customers that have a perpetual license over to their current SAAS subscription model. I clearly understand their MO. After all, why not considering Adobe can make a lot more money selling subscriptions to their software as opposed to customers purchasing a onetime perpetual license. Unfortunately,  Adobe has virtually abandoned their perpetual licensed customers in the processs. In my own case, I had recently lost access to a desktop computer  due to a power supply gone bad and a laptop attributed to a MB gone bad over which I had no control. Come to learn from accessing my online account and later speaking with a customer service rep, Adobe had left no stone unturned as my only option remaining to install and activate my Acrobat Pro version 2020 on another computer was to uninstall the program on at least one one of my two computers that had become inoperable within a few days time. To top it off, given my online account failed to list the number of computers (truth be told it showed '0' to be exact) on which I had installed Acrobat (how convenient), I was told there was nothing Adobe could do regarding my situation. However, since I was such a good loyal customer, Adobe would be eager to give me a discount on a SAAS for Acrobat, a product for which I had already purchased a perpetual licence, an insult and a slap in-the-face to say the least. That said, fortunately I have been building, updating, and refurbishing both desktop and laptop computers since the 90s in which event I was able to restore and resurrect my desktop computer in order to once again use my perpetual licensed version of Acrobat 2020 for which I can no longer install on a 2nd computer given it' not cost effective to replace the MB in my laptop computer. I am just wondering what else Adobe has left up their sleeve to get those like myself to purchase their SAAS product. Sorry for the novel but it frustrates and angers me no end that Adobe can literally get away with this. To me its a license to steal and extort money from past loyal customers who are essentially responsible for what they have achieved to date. I am also sick and tired of others who for whatever reason uphold and defend a company given the unethical business practices they employ. I guess some people are just clueless and prefer to remain oblivious or brain dead given what big corporations like Dupont, and the Sackler family have gotten away with over time. While I understand Adobe's business model hasn't killed anyone to date, they sure know how to work the system to fit their own agenda at the expense of loyal customers to make money for their stock holders.  Excuse the rant. Sad thing is, I cannot change it!

Wow, that's just messed up... clearly they don't care about customers that paid a lot of money for the perpetual license.

This email seems quite suspicious. It has some spelling and grammar mistakes, and Acrobat Pro costs about double that.

Where did you get it from (what email address)? How did you contact this "Adobe Customer Service", exactly?

OK, then I guess it's legit.

I would advise contacting Amazon about this issue, though. If they indeed sold you an invalid license they need to refund you, or provide an alternative.
