Arobat DC freezes when copying text for a short period

Hi all..

 

I have ran into a little dead end.

Im having a Adobe DC installation both local and in citrix. Where everytime I select some text and then press ctrl+c or right click and then copy from a pdf file.

Then Acrobat fresses with a little watch/hourglass for up to 10sec.  And then after the time has past, Arobat works normally again.

 

Do any of you might have a solution for that. Because it makes it hard for a web Editor to copy some text from a artical to a website. If it keeps stalling for copying the text.

We are sorry for the trouble. As described above Adobe Acrobat DC freezes for some time when you try to copy the text. 

 

We need some more information for a better understanding:

 

 

Make sure you have the latest version Of Adobe Acrobat DC (19.21.20049) installed on your computer. Go to Help >Check for Updates. For more information please use the help link : https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html

Hi Amal.
1. The lastest version is install 19.21.20049 - As its only installed 7days ago.

2. It is any .pdf file tried.

3. It happen in both the local machine and in Citrix.

 

As a work around we have exported the files to a word document. And then there is no problems copying the text

Hi there, 

 

Thank you for sharing the details. Please try to turn off the protected view for testing and see if that works.

 

Go to Edit > Preferences > Enhanced Security > Turn Off the Protected View and Uncheck the Enhanced Security > Click OK and reboot the machine.

Note: Please turn on the security after testing, irrespective of the result. 

 

If it still doesn't work, Could you please share the sample file and a screen recording of the issue you are facing for further investigation. Also, please share the Process monitor logs of the issue. Download the process monitor application here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon start it, reproduce the issue, save the log files and share it with us.
